Professor Mustafa Gouda
Professor Mustafa Gouda obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University in 1981. He also obtained his Master's degree from the Department of Metallurgy at the University of Connecticut in 1977, and he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Cairo University in 1968. He joined the British University in Egypt (BUE) in 2005 as a professor of Materials Science and Engineering. He became the Dean of Engineering college at the British University in May 2006. He served as Vice President for Research and Community Service in September 2011, Acting President in March 2013, and President of the British University in Egypt from July 2013 to July 2014. During that period, which lasted more than 12 years, he worked closely with all matters related to the British education system. He also served as Acting President of the International Capital University from September 2020 to September 2021.
Professor Dr. Mustafa Gouda is an active member in national organizations and committees that support the advancement of advanced materials in Egypt. He is a member of the Promotion Committee for Research Professors and Participating Research Professors at Mubarak City for Scientific Research and Technological Applications. He is also a member of the National Committee for New Materials at the Egyptian Academy of Sciences and Technology. Professor Dr. Mustafa Gouda has edited a book on the rare early works of Naguib Mahfouz, the Nobel laureate in Egyptian literature. Reuters agency published a report in Arabic about this book on March 8, 2007.
Fields of Interest:
Prof. Gouda's research interests are in metal matrix composites, mechanical properties, interfacial and interphacial phenomena of metal matrix composites. He is also interested in advanced steels and environmental studies. Prof. Gouda has been involved in teaching various courses in materials science and engineering, stress analysis, and engineering thermodynamics over more than twenty years. He has published more than forty technical papers and presented over eighty seminars’ papers and organized more than 60 workshops in composite materials throughout EGYPT and he is the co-author of a textbook in Production Technology.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nagi
Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs
Dr. Nagi is a registered Consultant Architect and a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers. He brings over 25 years of academic and technical experience in architecture and urban planning. He has held leadership roles at major educational institutions and contributed to national mega-projects such as the Grand Egyptian Museum. worked with international architects such as Zaha Hadid. He has published scientific contributions in the fields of sustainable development, curriculum development, and urban design.
He earned his Ph.D. in Architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University and completed a training course in museology in Japan.. His research interests include sustainable development, curriculum enhancement, and architectural heritage conservation. Dr. Nagi has published extensively and serves as a reviewer and jury member for prominent academic journals and architecture competitions.
