A letter of intent for international academic cooperation has been signed between Ribiero Bertu Dental School - University of Sao Paulo - Brazil and City University of Cairo - Egypt regarding the college of Oral and Dental Surgery. The aim of this cooperation is to enhance academic collaboration through student, college, researcher, and administrative staff exchange. The representatives who signed the letter of intent are Dr. Amr Marwan Tawfiq, representing City University of Cairo as the Deputy Founder, and Professor Lia Asad Bezerra da Silva, representing Ribiero Bertu Dental School - University of Sao Paulo - Brazil as the Dean of the School. The letter of intent emphasizes the continuation of communication to reach a final agreement on cooperation regarding the college of Oral and Dental Surgery. The purpose of this agreement is to enhance academic collaboration in the field of dentistry, including radiology and diagnosis, through the exchange of college members/researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students (with mutual recognition of the respective curricula), as well as administrative and technical staff members of each institution. It is worth mentioning that the University of Sao Paulo is ranked 118th globally according to the QS ranking, and its Dentistry program is ranked 15th globally.
For Egyptian students applying in 2024 with foreign, Arab, or technical secondary diplomas, the minimum required percentages are:
• Faculty of Engineering: 70%
• Faculty of Art and Design: 58%
• Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences: 58%
For Egyptian students applying in 2024 with the Egyptian General Secondary Education Certificate or Al-Azhar Secondary Certificate (after equivalency), the minimum required percentages are:
• Faculty of Engineering: 68%
• Faculty of Art and Design: 53%
• Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences: 53%

• Language of Instruction: Courses are offered in both English and Arabic. The program duration is 4 years, with students choosing their major starting from the third academic year.
